Joe Gurrera

Passionate About the EEFC

Joe Gurrera, owner of Citarella Gourmet Markets, is a proud member of the Hamptons community. He understands how important it is to be a good neighbor and give back to the people and neighborhoods that have supported him throughout the years. He appreciated the mission of the East End Fund for Children to provide essential food and educational programming for underserved children and stepped in to help make a difference in these kids’ lives.

A philanthropist in every sense of the word, Joe and the Citarella team support many organizations. They have helped Citymeals on Wheels to provide over 175,000 meals to elderly neighbors who otherwise would have been hungry and alone. Joe also established scholarship programs at the Culinary Institute of America and the Columbus Citizens Foundation. In addition, Joe is a passionate supporter of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, whose mission it is to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. He holds the honor of being named the “2022 Boomer Esiason Foundation MVP.”

With the same wholehearted, tireless dedication, Joe and Citarella are committed to helping the EEFC’s kids and their families. Last year, the Citarella team visited the organizations to see the positive impact EEFC makes in the lives of these children, and helped to raise over $100,000 for the coalition.

Today, you can purchase an exclusive canvas bag that features the wonderful self-portrait artwork by the children of EEFC. Stop by your local Citarella – 100% of the proceeds go to the coalition.
